Martin brings a vast range of experience to Jumpstart with previous experience in R&D tax relief, holding a BSc in Building Surveying whilst having a background in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Waste Management sectors.
Martin is currently working towards a BA in Business Management and enjoys reading, playing golf and spending time with his young family.
David has worked in a number of different industries in London and the South of the UK. These have included working in Higher Education creating Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP), with childcare nurseries on restructuring and with a number of charities on creating new business models and developing new innovative solutions.
Having recently completed an MBA, David is keen to apply this new knowledge to helping Jumpstart clients reclaim their research and development investments from HMRC.
With experience in business development, training and consultancy, David brings an understanding of the pressures that businesses face and how Jumpstart can help.
Combining a hobby and work, David can often be found cycling through the traffic in London to meetings
Chris brings a wealth of front end business development and sales team management experience to Jumpstart.
Following a BA in Business Information Management from Strathclyde University, he has enjoyed success in a number of industries including FMCG, IT and Recycling and Renewable Energy.
He is fiercely competitive, a trait discovered through various sporting activities, which filtered in to his working career at an early stage.
Chris is married with a young daughter, who now enjoyably takes up most of his weekends, however still harbours hopes of returning to to the golf course more frequently.
Caroline was a Bank Officer with the Clydesdale Bank for 11 years before heading to live and work in Toronto, Canada where tremendous opportunities awaited.
Hard work and initiative secured Caroline several senior administrative positions in entrepreneurial organisations. Returning to the UK in 2007, she continues to thrive professionally and personally. She is responsible for the office management, facilities management, front of house and supports the Managing Director.
Laetitia moved from France to Scotland 15 years ago and hardly ever misses the warm sunshine, blue skies or cuisine of her home village.
Before joining Jumpstart, she worked in the wine trade for nine years as an in-house graphic designer, where she developed killer Photoshop skills and an appreciation of fine (expensive) wines. After joining the Sales & Marketing Team at Jumpstart she thought she would drink a lot less wine. She was wrong.
She is responsible for generating and coordinating external and internal communications across various channels, and ensuring all communications are consistent with Jumpstart’s brand identity.
A ruggedly handsome IT support technician, Bryan is looking for dinner, long walks on the beach and potential long-term relationship.
He provides IT support at Jumpstart.
Joan’s colourful career includes a stretch at the Metropolitan Police Service, managerial roles with a number of high street retailers and over a decade at the Forensic Science Service, managing a team of 35 staff within Customer Services before moving into Account Management. With 16 years’ business development experience, she now supports and trains Jumpstart’s field sales team.
Joan supports Jumpstart’s field sales, Client Support and Finance teams.
Sandy has 21 years’ consulting experience in business strategy, marketing and international business.
A former visiting lecturer in international business and marketing at Napier University of Edinburgh, Sandy has held several non-executive positions over the last few years and has a wealth of experience in business-to-business marketing and sales management. At Jumpstart he works in sales & marketing, partner development and new business development.
Colin has over 30 years’ experience in marketing, communications, digital and change, including 20 in senior roles across mid-size and large corporates within financial services, education and IT/Software industries. He has worked with organisations such as Scottish Widows, Lloyds TSB, ACCA and LogicNow. At Jumpstart, Colin is responsible for marketing.
There isn’t a single profound quote about marketing that Colin isn’t irritated by.
Originally from the land of golf in Ayrshire, Lindsay graduated from Glasgow Caledonian in 2015 with a BA (Hons) in International Retail Marketing.
Coming from a B2C Marketing background, Lindsay has worked in the Hospitality and Automotive sectors, she is now developing her career within the R&D tax relief arena here at Jumpstart.
Lindsay’s vivacious personality led her to working in Greece over three summers, and writes an online dating blog in her spare time. She is also the clumsiest staff member we have recruited so far.
Karen worked with Logica for 12 years, initially as a business analyst, then project manager for IT development and support projects in the Oil & Gas and Energy & Utilities sectors.
She joined Jumpstart as a Technical Analyst, before moving into Quality Assurance and gaining the company’s ISO9001:2008 certification in 2013. She supports all areas of the business.
As part of her undergraduate degree in biochemistry, Louise spent a year working in industry at the pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
She went on to complete her PhD at the University of Glasgow, and then held a postdoctoral research position for several years, before joining Jumpstart’s Quality Assurance department for some light relief. At Jumpstart she works in an independent department, supporting all areas of the business.
