The newly-launched Made Smarter programme is designed to support manufacturers, engineers, makers and creators with facilities or operations in Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Liverpool City Region to grow through adoption of new technologies.
They can also give you the insight around your teams’ changing needs and roles through a dedicated leadership programme and access to student placements. What’s more once you’ve selected the right technology for your business they can offer up to 50% match-funding for its implementation.

CODEL is an industrial engineering and electronics production company established in 1991 who provide Trace and Track and Quality Assurance informatics systems, as well as Automatic Identification, Product Marking, Warehouse Management and Quality Control integrated into our AIDA Manufacturing Execution system. They offer professional services and have experience in scoping and executing technical solutions that utilize the newest technologies, all to the highest customer satisfaction. They construct systems using modern informatics, communications and automation technologies.

10.20am – 5G
5G will enable you to download a movie in seconds, or to stream a 4K movie without any buffering. We’re also likely to see a big leap forward in virtual and augmented reality applications, as 5G’s low latency and high capacity will enable advanced processing to be handled remotely rather than locally on mobile devices and headsets.
In a March 2018 report, O2 forecasts that 5G will earn the UK £6 billion a year through productivity savings. It also finds that 5G-enabled tools such as smart fridges, smart grids and electric autonomous vehicles will save householders £450 a year through lower food, council and fuel bills.
